Bizzaro Jamal?

Hey. You guys want to hear a story? There’s a rapper named Truck North who is an affiliate with a band named The Roots. There’s also a guy named Jamal Miller who writes for Oogeewoogee and he looks a lot like Truck North the same way that Clark Kent looks like Superman. They’re not the same guy though, definitely alternate universes, it’s real Bizarro world shit.

So two weeks ago Jamal, er…Truck, went up to SiriusXM to talk about his latest release and display his rapping prowess for The Showoff Show with Statik Selektah. There were quite a few hip hop icons in the building, notables included Faith Newman, the woman responsible for signing Nas to his Columbia deal pre Illmatic and Stretch, one half of the legendary DJ duo Stretch and Bobbito, who were the DJ’s in the 90’s that introduced us unsigned artists like Nas, Biggie, Big Pun, Jay Z, and Eminem. Stretch told Truck he was nice by the way. Anyway he laced us with 6 plus minutes of bars over classic Roots beats. It was a regular Jamboy rap clinic.
