#BlackJoyPhilly Janelle Monae & Jidenna Lead Philly March Against Police Brutality

So, what’s your favorite artist doing?

The black solidarity movement across the country is not slowing down. The beat will not skip; there is art in persistence. In May, Philadelphia hosted the massive “Philly is Baltimore” march, which made national headlines. But grassroots movements don’t stop, can’t stop– whether the mainstream media wants to cover it or not.

Remember to vote. Evaluate each party thoroughly–the Democrat and Republicans will play the same old game, so lets continue to hold them accountable for their actions or lack thereof.

Images of the march were shared throughout social media—I’ve chosen a few below, including several from the Philly Student Union.
