Inside The Lines: “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See”

Ba dum ba dum, dum dum..

Ba dum ba dum, dum dum…

The year is 1997 and Busta Rhymes is on his second solo album, “When Disaster Strikes.” The high energy MC’s album needed a strong lead off single so he gave the world “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See,”a Shamello flip of Sweet Green Fields by Seals and Croft.

The video was energetic, stimulating and vibrant– to match the song, of course, as both were an ode to Busta’s West Indian culture and customs. With a hook that coerced people into the party while the drums moved their bodies for them, “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See” is a gem that to this day keeps the party rocking.
